Overview
It was each moment, each day, and each memory that became the small pictures or snapshots that made the big portrait of God’s plan. It is also true with each of us even today. It is every moment, every event, and every memory that we have that define the portrait within each of us. These are the defining snapshots that effect our every decision and conclude our final portrait. Without the presence of the Lord in our snapshots the portraits are seldom what we imaged the end result to be
Description
Have you ever opened up a family photo album only to see the photographs instantly take you back and remind you of that special memory life shared with you? “Snapshots to the Portrait,” is a journey through life that we can all relate to. With “Snapshots to the Portrait,” you can either experience it through the characters or put yourself in the story as the photographs bring and capture things many experience in their own lives. This book will help you experience the joys and gifts in life that make us smile, while also helping us realize the tears and sorrows from hurt and betrayal of those that were there only for themselves. As two childhood friends grow up together they will teach you what the truly important things in life really are
About the author
Born in 1974 in a little town called Mcleansboro, Il my parents Martin and Judy Tate two very honest hard working individuals. Growing up in this atmosphere taught me morals such as, respect, responsibility, and generosity. I attended grade school at Ewing Northern and went on to graduate high school at Mcleanesboro Il. After graduating and turning 18 I went to become a national guard ,but after talking to a seaman in the navy I enlisted with the United States Navy. My plans were to have a career in the Navy but like mom always told me she had seen God hand on me from a child. After finishing boot camp my entire Navy career consisted of six months and twenty days ending in a medical discharge. After getting home I worked what jobs I could and partied the rest of the time. I was stuck not knowing what was next but God did. One night when I was, lets just say messed up, my path crossed with a girl that I had met in Macedonia growing up I couldn’t believe she had said hi to me. I really didn’t think she had liked me because those girls were so darn mean to us boys. So instead of going out to party with friends that were waiting I headed back to Macedonia. We became very close. So close that I married Kimberly Sue Kinnear in 1996. A year later we were blessed with our only child Nicholas Christian Tate. That same year I began M.T. Construction my business has been completely blessed and has blessed so many others. Even though God walked beside me in the good times and the bad it wasn’t till age 30 that I felt him drawing me and revealing the true purpose and calling he had for me . On my 33rd birthday I heard his voice say he was giving me a gift. Excited it wasn’t until one year later that my life was changed. On my 34th birthday God stood before me and asked to come in and I let him. Out of all my experiences with God this was the most life changing one for me. Things have never been the same. I believe the purpose of why God has put me here is to teach and show that he doesn’t want to destroy us he loves us as a father loves his children. He wants a relationship with his children. After reading Snap Shots to The Portrait I hope you see this to. This book is genius not because I am a genius but the one that gave me the inspiration is. Publishing a book called Tug o war in 2010, Snap Shots To The Portrait was on its way to becoming a book. I have had almost 5 years to set back look and examine. I was really excited about Tug war and what God was going to do with it in peoples lives. There was some good things that happened with Tug o war. The best thing that I saw was it showed me that our moments and experiences are nothing compared to helping people experience God themselves. I believe reading Snap Shots To The Portrait will better help us better understand God our father by an everyday thing called life. I have fulfilled several positions when needed from pastor to a servant of God. The place that he has me today besides been a author is working with teenagers which I love it because their hearts are tender not hardened from religion and hurt. Meeting and setting under several very simple but mighty men of God I have seen God do great and mighty miracles. The time I enjoy most is my quiet time with the father as he holds my hand while we walk together teaching me and showing me his will for mankind. I believe Snap Shots To the Portrait can be the beginning of this for you.
