Description

In a time when supernatural beings used humans as playthings, Shira fights to survive. Guardian warriors can only take the promised bride of a patriarch’s son so far, until she must struggle on alone. But is she alone?

Plagued by painful memories of her mother’s death, Shira is now challenged to face a dangerous and uncertain future. A future that offers little more than abandonment, slavery and worse, her own doubts—but face it she must.

There is a place, one place that is not governed by evil. It is her sole cause for hope. If she is truly the promised bride, then the One that made that promise would surely see it fulfilled.

Perceiving that Shira is a vital piece to the Great Creator’s plan, the deadly Ancient Heroes of Old seek her out to destroy her. Unaware of the battle that rages about her, Shira holds to the thread of a promise. Can she stand firm, even in the face of unleashed evil? And supposing she can, will the patriarch´s son find her acceptable?
