Description
Shattered, is a psychological thriller based on true facts. A chance introduction and poetry bring the protagonist and the antagonist together. A psychological game of deception, intimidation and terror takes place and reveals the horror of a diabolical mind at play. Desire, obsession and rejection accelerate into death threats. It is a spine-chilling story of being stalked and harassed relentlessly, day and night. Cat and mouse chases ensue on foot and by car through the streets of Manhattan, Brooklyn and State Highways. The build up of fear, and the psychological damage imposed brings the protagonist close to a total breakdown. Trapped and alone, realizing time has run out, the protagonist must draw upon raw survival instincts to outwit the antagonist and plan an escape. A strange unforeseen incident triggers a cataclysmic result.
About the author
Connell J. J. Chambers was born in Dublin, Ireland into a family where literature and poetry were an important part of daily life and where he honed his passion for the written word. Attending Ballinafad College in the province of Connacht, he studied the writings of the mystics of the Middle Ages and developed a kinship with Irish Bards. In this rarefied atmosphere, his poetic voice and gift of the spoken word took root. Travelling extensively throughout Europe for several years, studying the arts, and spending time in the renowned cities of the Middle Ages, he settled in London before he migrated to the United States. He now lives in New York City where he continues to write.
