Overview
"...ya either got faith or ya got unbelief and there ain't no neutral ground..." Bob Dylan sang in one of his earlier iterations, and these are words one might be mindful of while reading some of these stories.
Fallen priests and witches, bible dwellers and whores, a princess and a decrepit, old weenie-wagger, "SHARDS" features these and many more. It is not a romance, nor who-dun-it, nor sci-fi, nor anything of the sort. It is a collection of seven peculiar stories which stand on their own, but whose fractured characters pop up here and there like strangers on the escalator of life.
Description
"SHARDS" is rated R, occasionally bordering on X. It is a work of fiction, but the players are as true as the author could make them. There is inescapable sin, which binds all of us, in some of its ugly manifestations, and even strange love.
The reader will meet Vickie the whore, Fat Tony and Skinny Louise, Big, pink Danny, old Rummy and his love the Polish Princess, "Shitforbrains" and "Eight O'clock Frank", Little Miss Heart-Shaped Asshole, the Mrs.,"Pipsqueak", the late John W. Griffin, Lazarus, Judas and The Good Thief, Chuck the pencil-dick Eagle Scout and Sybil the witch, the Whore of Babylon, Superbia the White Witch, Big Gula (all tits and ass), Pomona the Indian mountain spirit, "Cucumber" Rodriguez and "Teapot", Satan, "Handcuffs" the police chief, Ginger the spitfire, Dirty Ramona, George the bouncer, Horny Bill, Dom the power-walker, Debbie Reynolds, Liz Taylor, Liberace, the elusive Bobbaloo, Tyrone Jiggetts, Fred ("Tick") Buffaloe and Jimmy the Golden Guinea.
