About the author
James Heald is a conversational English teacher currently living in Southeast Asia. The Dayton, Ohio, native graduated high school in Ashland, Kentucky. While attending Ashland Community College in 1985 he started writing poetry as a hobby. In 1999 he earned his journalism degree from Southwestern Adventist University in Keene, Texas. After returning to eastern Kentucky, he worked as a news reporter for the Paintsville Herald, and then was an AmeriCorps volunteer working with middle school English students on their writing projects. In 2005 he moved to Seoul, South Korea, and taught conversational English to a variety of age groups for three years. During his time in Thailand, he earned his Teach English as Second Language certification through Chiang Mai University. He is currently writing and editing ebook collections of his poetry.
