This is story about a black young woman who recently lost her husband and her baby boy in a tragic road accident. Certain physical factors that she has to live with, have caused some stir with the white billionaire family that employs her.

Her mixed heritage has left her with an excess amount of body hair. However, she privately considers this condition more of a blessing than a curse, even though she has to shave her arms and legs frequently throughout the Summer months. She is also living with a rare continuous lactating condition. These two physical factors have created some issues in her interactions with members of the white billionaire family that employs her. They seemingly have become obsessed with her, and have individually tried to have undue influences over her. It will take all her mental strength and physical restrain to culture and maintain her independence. Amid the struggles, heartbreaks, and personal griefs. will true love or despair emerge?

I was born in the beautiful Caribbean Island of St. Kitts, and currently resides in Brooklyn, New York. I've completed three full New York City, and more than twenty half marathons. I hope that I am not fooling myself into thinking that my best marathon finishes, are yet too come. My poems have been previously published in The Best Poems & Poets of 2002, and also in America At The Millennium. I am also the author of: The Joy Of Writing Poetry. Seductive Shades is my first novel, and with it's adult graphic sequences, it might appear to be a great departure from my previous writings. My five brothers, three sisters and my daughter, have always supported my previous works. However, the adult content of this book will certainly surprise them. It so happens that I have always been a good listener, and so many of the interactions in this book, have been based on real life issues. The thing is, all of my poems have been motivated by love, heartbreak and life relationships. Similarly, the courageous pursuit of true love is the underlying nature of Seductive Shades.
