Sailing since he bought his first boat at the age of 16 on Michigan’s inland lakes, author RK Preston merges his hunger for the sea with the desire for a life unbound from the constraints of conventional life in this first book in the Row v. Wave series.
Before he began writing fiction, Preston earned degrees in Philosophy, Biology, and Medicine and trained as a Pediatric Critical Care physician. Later he earned an MBA as his career evolved away from the bedside and into hospital leadership. The author of many articles and book chapters in basic and clinical science as well as bioethics.
Carving out time to write each morning at a coffee shop before going to the hospital makes for slow progress, but following one’s passion takes patience and persistence. When he is not writing he enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, and of course sailing.
