Overview
Inspirational, encouraging, moving, etc. Each life touches another life. Your life is very special in that only you can touch a certain person and give them back their life. "I have never read anything like this before. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to read your wonderful, inspiring, and moving book. No matter what happens, I do believe that God meant for you to write this book... Veronica"
Description
I constantly argued in my mind that I was too messed up to be able to help anyone. I could not even help myself; therefore, I did not feel like I could be of benefit to anyone else. Many of us are afraid of what others will think of us, afraid that we will cause more pain, afraid we will be rejected if we say the wrong thing. The enemy has us tightly bound in fear and imprisoned within ourselves. There are many gifted and loving servants in place to minister to hurting people. We tell ourselves that there are already plenty of good people out there ministering about overcoming the effects of abuse. If people are not listening to other authors and ministers, why would they listen to me? This story may not be very different from others who have suffered from the effects of abuse. My story is more unique in how my family and I survived. It is a fervent prayer of mine that many others are able to find their release, and their victory over the victim mentality through Christ.
About the author
I was born in May of 1955 in Ellis County; in a small town called Ennis, Texas. My father was in the army. We lived in many places before I was nine, including Germany for two years. After the age of nine, my family dynamics changed, but we remained mostly in Texas. My mother and adopted father are still living and continue to teach their loved ones love and perseverance. I have four siblings, many nephews, nieces and cousins, and the family grows. I married my husband in 1979. We both served in the U. S. Air Force. We met while stationed at the same base. Now we have three grown children with families of their own. My husband and I have struggled with many obstacles throughout our marriage. It has all served one purpose; to strengthen us and bring us closer to Christ and the ministry God calls us to. Friends and family have encouraged me to write a book for many years. I first had to overcome many personal issues before I could write the book God wanted written. Recently, I have begun a new journey into Christian activism, which may be the start of another book. Reflecting on family history helped me realize that our victories should be shared. My heart whispers that there are many searching for what we found through God’s love and faithfulness. My children have come to call me ‘the church lady’. I suppose I have a tendency to become a little preachy. 
