The story focuses on Alexis saying goodbye to her mother in a dream. Her imaginary guardian angel Robin Butterflies take her on a journey in the dream to say goodbye to her mother. As Alexis falls asleep, she counts to 10 and wakes up in a paradise. So takes a journey on the boat with her mother to the other side of the river. Seeing her mother gives her comfort that she is safe and knowing that Robin Butterflies was sent to watch over her.

Destinee Dominique Alexis Brown was born in West Palm Beach Fl. I discovered writing children's books after the death of my mother. This was the beginning of the journey of my imagination, The creation of my children's book series "Robin Butterflies." "Alexis is an only child and has a tough time making friends. She is a little girl who deals with the death of her mother." As a reflection of my reality, I created the character of Alexis who uses her imagination to create Robin Butterflies a magical butterfly who is a guardian angel. It is a perfect way to use books to cope with the loss of someone dear to you. In that way, you escape into Alexis's life, she is me and I am her. You get to go on a journey with us as we travel through the realm of fantasy. Creating the perfect duality, Alexis has become my best friend by comforting me in my darkest moments. Out of something painful I was still able to create something beautiful. For that, I am extremely grateful to be able to escape from the realm of reality and find comfort in my imagination.
