Description

Revenge on the Camino Tres is the third book in a trilogy spanning the Camino de Santiago and featuring FBI Agent Ward Crimmons, who is walking in memory of his deceased wife. In the first book, Revenge on the Camino, the famous pilgrimage route becomes the setting for vengeance by two brothers and a former Basque terrorist. Their killings frighten villagers and perplex police. As victims multiply and Spain's Civil Guard searches for clues, Ward learns some of the country's dark history and becomes unexpectedly involved in finding the killers. In the second book, Revenge on the Camino Dos, another person seeks revenge against Spanish authorities for actions against her family over the years. As he continues his walk, Crimmons again finds himself on the trail as murders baffle police, but this time he, too, becomes a target and barely escapes death. In this final book of the trilogy, Revenge on the Camino Tres, he learns his granddaughter in Colorado has been assaulted. Crimmons rushes back to the States and discovers the attack was retribution against him for helping Spanish authorities. He then returns to Spain determined to locate the man who hired the hit. Final days of his pilgrimage find him in the midst of a violent clash between Spanish authorities and a Galician drug gang. All three books in The Camino Trilogy unfold against the backdrop of detailed descriptions of the Camino and revelations about Spain's complicated past. The books are must-reads for fans of crime fiction, the history of Spain, and especially the Camino de Santiago.
