Overview
Return to Me; God's Heart Cry is God desperately trying to get our attention to reveal to us how He is longing for us to come back home where He is waiting with His arms open wide to embrace each one of us. It starts at the beginning and describes how we got here in the first place, but more importantly, it shows us how to move closer to God if we want to. If you feel something or someone is missing from your life, Return to Me; God's Heart Cry is an excellent find. It takes you on an adventure only God can plan. Are you ready to go? What do you have to lose?
Description
Return to Me; God's Heart Cry starts by introducing the prophets, their life, experiences and their messages. It is written in an interactive style that through your imagine allows you to experience what they have and by a series of questions brings their world into yours. For example, how would you respond to being abandoned, found by a king's daughter and raised as royalty or what if you were eaten by a big fish only to be spit out on the beach, how would you feel? Would you be calm standing before hungry lions with no fear? Would you stand up for what you believed in even if you knew, if you did, you would be thrown in a furnace to be burned alive? How would you feel and what would you do in those circumstances? Return to Me; God's Heart Cry turns to our beginning and our reconciliation. It takes us back to the very beginning where it all started. It shows us how sin entered the world and puts you in the garden for you to be the judge of the events. After you live the events, you see how God provided the reconciliation necessary by sending His own Son. Jesus, God's Son, lived a perfect life, died on a cross to bear the penalty for our sin, who rose from the dead on the third day and who is now seated at the right hand of the Father. It is through Him and only Him, we have reconciliation with God. The next part of the restoration is our heart and conscience. This is the tricky part. It is in our heart and in our conscience that we hold all of those experiences that have made each of us unique. It is in these parts that we have built our walls and forts that we think protect us for being hurt, but it is in those places we hide from God and keep him out. Return to Me; God's Heart Cry helps identify those areas where we have shut God out and helps walk you through those doors that have been previously shut. This is not an easy process, but it is an attainable one if that is what you want. This book is not a do this or do that and everything will be fine. On the contrary, the result of this book is not up to me, but up to you. God wants you to Return to Him and this book will help you do that if you are willing. The question I ask is, are you?
About the author
Return to Me; God's Heart Cry started with a feeling, a feeling that couldn't be shaken together with a love that couldn't be understood. One Sunday, my pastor preached a dynamic sermon, challenging each of us to move out of our individual comfort zone and to be open to where God may lead us. It was then the thought came to me to write this book. All I could think was, okay I'm definitely out of my comfort zone. I secretly wondered, Why me? I'm certainly not a saint. I've made my share of mistakes. I'm not a theologian or a learned pastor rather, I'm a lay person. I'm not an intellectual or someone with a vast vocabulary. I'm just an average person who loves God and wants to live for Him. I wondered if it was enough to write a book. I was terrified that I wasn't good enough, but then I remembered Moses, whom God chose to be His mouth piece. Yes, he was terrified and felt unworthy, but God was with him and God would be with me. It is my hope that the materials found in this book will bring you closer to God. The book is not my opinion, but are pure scripture. Don't let my unfamiliarity stop you from picking up this book and reading it. Others who have read this book have said, this God inspired.
