About the author
James Culmer, a Deacon who embraced his gift of writing and
continues to write in hopes to inspire, entertain, be a
blessing, and to give back to God through what God
gave to him. God’s gift to him was writing but James
gift to God is to utilize it.
James has written multiple feature film
scripts, short film scripts, seven poetry books, and
other books that await publishing. His work was
published in the “Blue Ridge Anthology” in 2006.
His work has been on the front page of the
“Richmond Times Dispatch.” He was published in
“The Voice of Hope” publication in Charlottesville.
He has performed spoken word poetry for the
“Showtime at the Apollo” tour in Charlottesville,
VA. He has shot a feature film with his first
production company “Three Katz Productions.” The
film “Things happen for a Reason,” helped him see
that he wanted to do so much more in entertainment.
He just needed to become grounded in God and
understand God’s will so he could exercise his gift as
God saw fit.
His poetry is from personal experiences and
God inspired pieces. They are heart written and you
cannot read just to read, you have to go back and
reread to get the full meaning because most of his
pieces have a heartbeat that must be felt. Some of his
poetry reflects his personal feeling regarding
veterans. His desire is to truly hug them with words
in hopes to soothe their racing minds.
James plans to keep writing and he hopes to
move more than a poetry crowd with this book. His
desire to encourage and inspire will keep him moving
toward that goal. His desire to do God’s will through
him has greatly shaped his walk with Christ and he
hopes that it shows in his efforts toward the well
being of veterans of the United States.
He has produced two talent showcases, and
will produce and direct his stage play “Prayer
Driven” in 2013. He is in the process of shooting two
documentaries, two pilot shows (a variety show and a
sitcom), and he continues to minister spoken word in
theatrical format when he is able. He believes that if
you dream it, then you can achieve it. If God has
given you the vision, he will also make the provision
to make it happen; James believes this whole
heartedly. He focuses on Gods voice so that he is led,
not by his own accord, but by God’s. He continues to
teach the word of God and fulfill his deacon duties in
church for this is first priority.
Blessed with Words Productions, his current
production company produces plays, books, movies,
shorts, documentaries, speaking engagements, and of
course spoken word plays a great part in all of the
above. James ultimate goal throughout everything he
does is to bring souls to Christ through a different
type of ministry. If not, then all would be in vain
glory and there’s no need to do any of it.
Blessed with words hope that you are, blessed with
words.
