Debi Devens was born and raised in California and now resides in the state of Georgia. She is married with 2 children and 2 grandsons. She has two adorable Bernedoodle pups, Boone and George who are huge balls of fluff and energy.
Debi spent years working in the entertainment industry, has owned her own companies and was an event coordinator for non-profit and political groups. She was also a featured writer on various blog sites.
Her children's book, "Red the Fire Truck: A Story of Friendship" was inspired by her dad, Art, who was a firefighter/engineer with the City of Glendale. Art worked 24 hour shifts and was sometimes gone for several days, especially during the California wildfire seasons. Debi cherished the times her dad would read to her at bedtime on nights he was home. This developed a great love of reading in Debi at a young age. Her hope is that parents embrace this wonderful story to share with their children as well as teachers for preschool, kindergarten and first grader students. "Red the Fire Truck: A Story of Friendship" is an uplifting story that everyone will enjoy, written with love and admiration for her dad, all first responders and heroes who dedicate their lives in service to others.
