It all begins with an assignation of Philip Delrosa without a lead for the police to follow. Years later, Kristen Delrosa wins the lottery. She vows to find the individual that murdered her husband and the motivation behind the crime. However, as Kris and her best friend, Jewel, probe deeper into the case, painful lies float to surface. Kris soon realizes that she may have underestimated the extent some people will go to hide their past, further their careers and cover up their crimes. Kris and some unique friends follow a trail of lies and murders that leads through the underworld, big business and into the political arena. The more the group uncovers, the more they’re convinced they are in over their heads. Refusing to quit, the group finds the answers stretch to unimaginable levels of power and to a shocking act that no one could ever have anticipated.

Jim Spencer, called Phil until he was in his twenties was born on January 9, 1945, in Northampton, Massachusetts. He attended the public schools there graduating from high School in 1962. He then spent two years at Holyoke Junior College. He joined the Air Force in 1965 and retired in 1986 as a Master Sergeant. He spent those years as a photo interpreter, intelligence analyst with some time spent as a disaster preparedness technician. In 1967, he married Susan Marie Conz. While in the Air Force, he went back to school at Wayland Baptist University in Hawaii where he received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a BSOE in intelligence systems management. When he retired, he attended Springfield College where he received a master’s degree in industrial psychology. He held various managerial positions until he was hired as a training administrator for the Federal Deposit Insurance Company in Massachusetts. He was a victim of a downsize and worked as a financial advisor for American Express until his heart attack in 2000. He has won numerous writing contests over the following years. In addition to writing, he is deeply interested in travel and photography. He both hunts and fishes. He has two children, Kim and Jason, and one granddaughter, Emma.
