Overview
Lyrically based poetry with a modern twist- dark, edgy, and there's certainly no tip toeing through tulips. Ranthems (Random Anthems) focuses on different facets of human nature with a modern theme and seeks to make the content relatable to everyday people, with a few twists along the way. The topics chosen are personal and passionate, with some themes being confronting and thought provoking. But the common thread is to encourage the reader to think about the world around them and their place in it.
Description
Ranthems - Venom, Intention, Reflection is a book of short stories (lyrical poetry) which was born from the authors personal experiences, as well as social commentary about the world around him focusing on different facets of human nature.  How we treat ourselves and each other became a focal point to a growing collection - Random Anthems (Ranthems) which continue to inspire to this day.   The topics covered range from smoking and our impact on the environment to drugs and our growing intolerance of each other.  Some old fashioned values like respect have faded away in the authors point of view where it seems to be kept alive and embraced only by the minority.   On a personal front, the author takes on issues like loneliness, love found and lost, people who have crossed his path and left their mark and sometimes a mental stain.  Ranthems has been a way for Gaz to resolve such personal issues by writing about them in order to regain the balance in his life.
About the author
After moving to Melbourne from country NSW 9 years ago, I had a writing hiatus of 2 years but luckily the writing bug was awakened again. It took a different kind of break up with an ex to spark what was to become the rebirth of my writing in its rawest form being ‘Scratch the Surface Pale’. What spawned from that turbulent time and my progression through it was a light bulb moment to suggest maybe I had something else on offer to share. Over the years my methodology has changed and evolved to something I’m very proud to call my own. With an interesting twist to my writing style this journey has kicked into a whole new level of confidence and acceleration which means this Ranthems ride is set to continue. For those of you curious to know more…………I welcome you to the world of Ranthems!
