Transcendence
Radiant Awakening

Overview

Transcendence: Radiant Awakening by Grey Falcon is a Christian science fiction fantasy story. An unknown object has entered our solar system and the only people who know it is here are the US government as they track its trajectory. Then it disappears, somewhere on earth. Jason is an ordinary man living an ordinary life. All of a sudden, the entity starts to take an interest in him. Jason walks with a walking stick and the entity cannot understand this. When it finally figures things out, it turns Jason’s life upside down. The government wants to know what the entity wants but when Jason finds out, can they stay away and allow the entity to finish what it started or will they blunder in with no thought?

Transcendence: Radiant Awakening by Grey Falcon is a strange story but is also strangely compelling reading. At first, you think the story is purely about the entity drifting through the solar system but it soon becomes clear there is much more to this. It felt a little like I was reading about someone’s out of body experience and the descriptive nature of Mr. Falcon’s writing pulls you right into it. There is a violent scene, quite descriptive, but it fits the story perfectly and is needed – what follows it is an eye-opener that will have you believing you are in a dream but it neatly explains and fits the book title. This was an enjoyable short read, really well-written with Christian messages. It may be a Christian story but, dare I say it, anyone can gain some kind of peace from reading this story.

About the author

Born in the early seventies and raised by the typical nuclear family, Grey grew up in a fairly nurturing home that was strict on discipline, though rich on grace and love. His father was a man of wisdom, slow to anger and full of love and teachings of God's words. When it was time for discipline, he always made sure his anger had cooled before discipline was handed out; even if it meant Grey spent several days in his room. His dad taught him that you worked hard so you could play hard. And when he could, his father spent time with him, playing games on game consoles when they came out but Grey especially remembered the waking in the middle of the night times, finding his dad cutting up fruit while reading a book and his dad offering the fruit then reading the book to him while he slowly ate and listened to the stories. Eventually, slowly, it inspired his mind to imagine the stories as if real in his mind... seeing them take shape. Later, as he got older, he began to dream of being a published author. Some people scoffed at him. At times, those people DID set him back as the scoffing got to him, but he pushed forward keeping his dream in focus because many told him 'he was good' and 'his dream was real'. Finally, he wrote out one of his dreams into a story. He turned the dream into words and saw it become life. It was then the reality came to him, his dream was a gift that he was given... a gift to create just as the One who had created him had... but to a lesser degree. Grey realized he had been gifted with the gift to create people, cities, worlds, whole galaxies within his mind and had the ability to tell their stories... if only he could write them down in time before he forgot them. So these are their stories...
