Transcendence: Radiant Awakening by Grey Falcon is a Christian science fiction fantasy story. An unknown object has entered our solar system and the only people who know it is here are the US government as they track its trajectory. Then it disappears, somewhere on earth. Jason is an ordinary man living an ordinary life. All of a sudden, the entity starts to take an interest in him. Jason walks with a walking stick and the entity cannot understand this. When it finally figures things out, it turns Jason’s life upside down. The government wants to know what the entity wants but when Jason finds out, can they stay away and allow the entity to finish what it started or will they blunder in with no thought?
Transcendence: Radiant Awakening by Grey Falcon is a strange story but is also strangely compelling reading. At first, you think the story is purely about the entity drifting through the solar system but it soon becomes clear there is much more to this. It felt a little like I was reading about someone’s out of body experience and the descriptive nature of Mr. Falcon’s writing pulls you right into it. There is a violent scene, quite descriptive, but it fits the story perfectly and is needed – what follows it is an eye-opener that will have you believing you are in a dream but it neatly explains and fits the book title. This was an enjoyable short read, really well-written with Christian messages. It may be a Christian story but, dare I say it, anyone can gain some kind of peace from reading this story.
