About the author
David Jaggard was born in the men’s room of Radio City Music Hall at midnight on January 1st, 2000. Very short excerpts of his work have appeared in the Oxford English Dictionary, Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary and on thesaurus.com. He has been honored as “Man of the Year” on the cover of a very limited hardcover edition of Time Magazine and as Employee of the Month at his uncle’s plumbing supply house, April 2001. He is listed in Who’s Sort of Who, Who Would Have Been Who, Who’s Actually Whom and Wildebeest: The New Johannesburg High School Yearbook 1986. James Joyce is quoted in one source as saying, “Reading David Jaggard changed my life. Not much, and for the worse, but changed.” Jaggard’s work has earned him numerous prizes, awards, grants, fellowships and, given that he already had a roll of dimes, phone calls. He is the winner of the Jaggard Prize for Excellence in Humor Writing (2002), the Best Humor Site of the Year award from the Independent Davids Confederation, Jaggarc-Jaggare Chapter (2003), the Met-Ends-Making fellowship of the Mr&Mrs J. Foundation (1986-2013), and a grant in the form of a small variable stipend paid to him each year by a service of the United States government.
