On the other hand, a literature review about contracting management and main aspects of contracts and agreements was taken in this research paper.
The author did a survey about main issues of planning management and contracting management relevant to the industry in Qatar.
However, a detailed analysis was taken for each part of the survey then discussed in a chapter with sophisticated details about where the industry is now?, where it should be? , and how to get there? Then a summarised conclusion and recommendations.
The aim of this book was to identify the successful aspects of planning management. Then illustrate the weak point of planning the Qatar FIFA 2022 project and what the issues that stakeholders might face. It was concluded that construction have a special requirements of planning for a project including innovation and communication effectiveness. The author discussed the country profile of Qatar to give an idea to the reader about the country in general and the economy there.
In contracting management it was concluded that the industry in GCC has some issues which needs some improvements before it affects the deliverables of the project. The project of Qatar FIFA 2022 have a lot of affects on the country image locally and internationally. Some cultural bad habits and neglecting some contracting fundamental aspects might cause in to legal issues which would cost extra cost and delays to the Qatar FIFA 2022 project.
It was generalised that innovation had a big impact on the proposal that Qatar proposed in Dec 2010 to the FIFA.
However, the Qatari government should keep on their track of motivating innovation by offering new opportunities to researchers and engineers in the GCC market. Sport tourism has a big impact on countries’ image and marketing service, which require Qatar government to increase their capability to meet the objectives that they proposed
