Kathleen Grace, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, (CFP®) professional, Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) is Principal and Co-Founder of Excelsior Capital Advisors, LLC, a division of United Capital Financial Advisers. Ms. Grace advises affluent families, former Fortune 500 executives, entrepreneurs, and institutions throughout the country on all facets of financial and estate planning, helping them chart a financial course for lifetime wealth creation.
With over twenty years of extensive experience, Ms. Grace began her career working with Commodity Futures at the Chicago Board of Trade. Ms. Grace has also held executive positions with RSM McGladrey, Inc., Capital Planning Group, Merrill Lynch Private Client Group, and Citigroup.
Ms. Grace earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Finance from the University of Miami and completed her CFP® curriculum at Nova Southeastern University School of Business. Ms. Grace has been a guest lecturer on a variety of financial topics to groups and universities including the Wayne Huizenga Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship. In addition, Ms. Grace was awarded the CIMA® designation presented by the Investment Management Consultants Association with education and curriculum through the Wharton School of Business. The CIMA® designation is a professional designation exclusively for investment management consultants. Ms. Grace served as a subject matter expert for the CIMA® certification exam.
A former board member with the Financial Planning Association in South Florida, Ms. Grace has been a contributor to print and television media throughout the state of Florida. She currently serves on the Foundation Board of Florida Atlantic University, as Board Member of Women in Distress of Broward County, Inc. and Co-Chair of its Starfish Circle initiative, as Board Member and Chair of the Investment Committee for the Boca Raton Historical Society, Advisory Board Member for the Broward Bank of Commerce, and actively supports Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida, as well as several other charitable organizations.
