Starting from his childhood as a socially awkward teenager growing up in the working class neighborhood of Price Hill, on the west side of Cincinnati, to life as a struggling actor in Los Angeles and his days performing on cruise ships and as Ringmaster for Ringling Bros. & Barnum and Bailey Circus, to his time traveling the world as a motivational speaker. Bob shares his mistakes, his accomplishments and the lessons he learned through both his travels and his early years in the Midwest.

From humble beginnings in the working class neighborhood of Price Hill, on Cincinnati's west side, Bob Tully moved to Los Angeles to seek success as a performer. Price Hill Boy tells some of the stories Bob has lived as a result From his early days as a "broke actor", living in the back room of an office in Burbank, to living and working as a singer/actor on cruise ships, a year as the Ringmaster of Ringling Bros. Circus and traveling the world as a fitness trainer and motivational speaker, Bob recounts how his experiences have changed him, and how the values he gained as a child helped guide him on his path.Some of these stories are funny, some informative, but all have contributed to a life lived on the road less traveled.

About The Author


Robert Tully was raised in Price Hill, a neighborhood on Cincinnati's west side. A graduate of Archbishop Elder High School, at the age of 27 Bob moved to California, found his way to Los Angeles, and sought work as a performer. Bob worked for Norwegian cruise lines in the Caribbean and Alaska, traveled to Japan to perform and in 1998 was the Ringmaster for Ringling Bros. & Barnum & Bailey Circus. Bob also worked for a 24 Hour Fitness, L.A. Fitness and at a number of other fitness facilities as a trainer and fitness instructor. Subsequently he also spent 15 years as a trainer and motivational speaker for a global supplement company. Since 2018, his "Practically Well" blog (Practicallywell.net) has shared his insights on wellness trends both old and new.
