Overview

This book is a guide for parents and grandparents, new and experienced in caring for little ones. Think of it as a tool in how to create your environment for infants as well as toddlers up to the age of three and preschoolers for up to the age of four or five. This book is set apart from other parenting books because it will demonstrate a different structure set up for each particular age group that is both educational and fun for the different levels of child development in a small in-home environment.

Description

What is this book all about? Are you a parent or grandparent? Do you care for little ones and find that you sometimes struggle in how to keep the group calm and entertained? Maybe you struggle with how to organize and plan your daily routine. Or perhaps you have run out of fun things to do and you are looking for activities that not only entertain the little ones, but also educate them while having fun. You might be a parent struggling with transitioning your child from diapers to potty training, how to figure out a nap routine, how to teach your toddler social and sharing skills, or how to handle a tantrum. About the author

Hi, my name is Iva Dumas. Early Care and Education has been my passion for many years. I have been a licensed Small Group Home Child Care Provider and in the business of caring for little ones for eighteen plus years. In addition, I am a consultant for Precious Years Consulting Service. As I was studying for courses required to obtain a certificate for Early Care and Education, I was fascinated with all the information I gathered in this area. I was awarded, through Central Arizona College, a certificate under ECE Family Child Care. In the last several years, I’ve been pursuing my education to further my passion in Early Childhood Education. As my child care program developed over the years, my true passion became tangible. I love teaching the little ones the love of learning while engaging with them. Overtime, I watch them grow and develop into competent children ready for school.
