About the author

Carolyn L. Austin is a real estate broker associate, certified internal auditor, and retired law enforcement officer from Miami, Florida. She has one daughter and two grandsons. In 2014, Carolyn recognized "the call" and began writing a daily devotional entitled "Prayer Share" to aid friends' healing. She has been overwhelmed and humbled by the emotional, heartfelt, and sincere impact her books have on the lives of others. Carolyn also hosts a monthly Zoom book club meeting which can be joined via www.prayersofmymother.com. Carolyn's two books, Prayers of My Mother: Volume I and Don't Eat Your Vomit! have earned Readers' Favorite Five-Star Recognition! Vomit is used metaphorically throughout this memoir illustrating moments where the same or similar behavior is naively repeated expecting a different outcome. She is currently writing her first YA fiction novel entitled Insanity, inspired by true events. Carolyn's faith and positive attitude reaffirm readers' relationships with God as they vicariously experience betrayal, deceit, heartbreak, shame, illness, and grief, all of which led her to complete this Life-Changing Healing Project.
