Postcards from the Road

Postcards from the Road is a personal journey written in verse, focusing on the many small moments that often define a life. Learning to swim, family gatherings, a growing awareness of self and place, growing older. It is hoped that those who turn these pages and read these lines of poetry might discover threads that connect their own journey with that of this writer, discovering that, no matter our point of origin, we may find ourselves navigating similar challenges found in the warp and weft of life.

Monika Savic was born in Los Angeles and is the daughter of Dutch immigrants. She taught English for many years, and has written a novel inspired by the experiences of her parents during the occupation of the Netherlands during World War II. Monika is married; she and her husband, who is an immigrant from the former Yugoslavia, have three children, each of whom is making the world a better place. Postcards from the Road is her first published collection of poetry.
