Overview
This book consists of two parts. The first part consists of a few "give me a break" poems that include pictures of my tree-climbing dog. The second part is the whole reason for publication. It consists of my path to a new physics based on the work of James Clerk Maxwell. It provides an "Exact-Numbers Core" to a new pragmatic Maxwell-based physics. Maxwell described his work in electricity and magnetism as an effort to understand the medium in which our physical reality exists. I refer to this medium as the Maxwell medium, MaxM.
Description
This book consists of two parts. The first part consists of a few "give me a break" poems that include pictures of my tree-climbing dog. The second part is the whole reason for publication. It consists of my path to a new physics based on the work of James Clerk Maxwell. It provides an "Exact-Numbers Core" to a new pragmatic Maxwell-based physics. Maxwell described his work in electricity and magnetism as an effort to understand the medium in which our physical reality exists. I refer to this medium as the Maxwell Medium, MaxM. My path to the new physics, from the late 1990s to the present, includes: Maxwell's dimensions of Newton's gravitational constant G. Maxwell's dimensions of mass. Maxwell's pragmatic mathematics of electricity and magnetism. (The solid engineering base for over a century.) I show that this path has lead to an unanticipated "Exact-Numbers Core", thus the Encore of Maxwell-based Encore Physics.
About the author
I spent a 25 years as a computer systems programmer/analyst before retiring in 1991. In 1987 my brother Ron (the Ronald R. Hatch, of worldwide fame in the GPS world) convinced me to concentrate on physics after my retirement. In the physics world I realized that my strong suit was in the organizing of massive amounts of data to facilitate understanding, The physics in this book reflect my work in developing the "Incredible Numbers" reflected in NIST work and the CODATA tables. The opening poetry reflect my occasional need for a break and to help my and Ron's relatives get at least an introduction to our physics, I was one of twelve children. For family fun and serious physics I now introduce the Encore Edition of my Poetry plus MaxD Physics.
