Madelyn is a kind hearted young woman who sees nothing but the good in people. Working in the emergency department, she is drawn to putting pieces back together. Scott will do anything for Madelyn. Their shattered dreams of being unable to have more children has created anxiety amongst them. Will their dreams finally be answered, or are the nightmares about to begin?

Madelyn and Scott adopt 2 pre-adolescent boys who are affected by interpersonal trauma. Genetics and biological factors play a major role in their outcomes later in life. Madelyn and Scott undergo mental/substance abuse and post traumatic stress disorders from the boys, forcing their lives to change forever. No matter how much love and support they provide, will it ever be enough?

Perci Michelle has been an educated practitioner for over thirty years. She has degrees in psychiatric care and a multitude of experience in pediatric and emergency medicine. She is a university instructor and practitioner at the 2nd largest emergency department in the state. Perci Michelle has a great love for family and friends, making her vulnerable to assist anyone, despite the cost. Perci Michelle and her husband are the parents of three sons and a daughter and reside with their dog, Bella, in Rhode Island.
