Pick Me!

Pick Me! tells the story of a little dog named Quib who traverses the path of his own adoption.

Pick Me! is about a dog whose self-confidence begins to corrode when he is repeatedly rejected for adoption. Finally, a little girl chooses him for a companion but he does not feel worthy of her affection. When she reveals she is just as mischievous as he is, he realizes he has found a new home at last.

Silke is a first time children's book author. Her goldendoodle, Quib, was the inspiration for this story. Quib is short for Essequibo, the longest river in Guyana where Silke grew up. Her interests include poetry, play reading and politics. She lives in Alexandria, VA, with her husband and two dogs.
