Vanessa Ann Vigilante, PhD, is a clinical psychologist in private practice. Inspired by her experiences teaching first graders at a Chinese Day School in the late 1990s and her work in a parenting laboratory during her PhD studies, she wrote Patty Cake And The Monsters Under The Bed, her debut children's book. Dr. Vigilante is proud to share her birthday with two inspiring figures: Helen Keller and Captain Kangaroo.
