Description
Lauren Brazille looks like just any other American tourist in San Felipe, Mexico. She and her husband, Andy, have bought a lavish vacation home in Baja, and Lauren is never shy about flaunting the many luxuries her husband pays for. The couple may spark harmless gossip among the expats, but scandal turns into disaster the day Lauren goes missing. When news of her disappearance reaches California detective Kevin Rhinehardt, the veteran cop knows that this case is about to get very complicated. As Rhinehardt rose through the ranks, the name "Andy Brazille" popped up time and again in his investigations. A mysterious fire, a strange disappearance, and more have haunted the entrepreneur. When Andy reports his wife missing, Rhinehardt jumps at the chance to take the case. He teams up with a local San Felipe private detective to work around the jurisdictional issues surrounding Lauren's disappearance. As he delves deeper into Lauren and Andy's troubled relationship, Rhinehardt's investigation will take him across the border and deep into the Mexican wilderness. The answer to this mystery may be found south of the border, but will Rhinehardt find what he needs to ensure that justice is served?
