Overview

An entertaining beach read for tourists and locals alike.

Description
Parasail Island is the realm of greedy boat captains and beach bums, of clueless tourists and merry drinkers toasting gorgeous sunsets. The overly cautious Captain Wiff has to go toe-to-toe with the young, reckless Captain Brad. Will their fighting trigger a disaster at sea? The rest of their crew at The Palm are down for all kinds of adventurous run-ins, whether with hammerheads or the Cuban airforce or loaded investors. Check out their crazy party antics at the Gasparilla Street Festival!
About the author

Ronnie Roberts is a soft-spoken surfer dude with flaxen hair and a weatherbeaten face, a lifelong denizen of Clearwater Beach. Since the invention of parasailing in the 70s his community has grown from a tiny backwater to a bustling hub of giant hotel resorts. Ronnie owns and operates a busy water sports business and a local airplane company. This sunny fellow who loves dogs believes in positivity. He claims to have led a quiet, uneventful life - except for that one day he had to land a burning Cessna at a nearby resort, of course! Oh, and another day when a whole floor of his apartment building exploded, killing a few of his neighbors, and so Ronnie wound up carrying a firefighter and several residents out of the flames (after going back in with the firefighter's radio). It was not the only time he made national headlines, either: one of his jet ski rentals apparently had an inherent manufacturing defect. It blew up - with a customer aboard! But we could just keep a lid on all such explosive material and just say that Ronnie's life has been smooth and clear sailing... Parasailing, that is! Parasail Island and the Sons of Beaches is his debut novel.
