Overview
"Paint a Picture" depicts Richard Camardo's five-year journey of healing from a TBI suffered on September 18, 2018. During the first couple of years, he became reclusive and unable to lead his normal life. He found respite in creating art, writing poetry, and listening to the music of Pearl Jam. He hopes his journey will inspire anyone else walking through an unexpected trail to continue chasing recovery, in whatever form they can find.
Description
Richard Camardo lived a fulfilling life full of immeasurable gratification from his successful companies, a 42-year marriage to the love of his life, three children and two grandchildren. In a matter of a few seconds, his life turned down an incomprehensible path to travel. "Paint a Picture" was born from a physiological, depressive state in the early days of his recovery. The author crafted this book in a poetic format to portray his emotions and to captivate readers' attention on a deeper level, free from singular interpretation. His family greatly encouraged him to share his experiences, and he hopes his writing can inspire anyone struggling through a trying recovery.
About the author
Richard Camardo's life changed forever in September 2018, when he suffered a fall that left him without many faculties. Before his fall, he had the good fortune to travel widely and play golf all over the United States. He is an energetic, family-oriented person who now focuses his time on work, his art and poetry, and an escape by attending Pearl Jam concerts. Richard has a tremendous gratitude for a life with his family, which now includes two grandchildren.
