Overs!

Millicent Brown seems to have it all: a nursing career she loves, all the money she will ever need, a beautiful home and great friends, who provide a wonderful cast of characters for her story. But Milli was seriously neglected as a child, orphaned in her teens and divorced before she hit thirty. Now she begins to tell her story as she recovers from back surgery. Milli intends to use this down time to sort through her lifetime stash of photographs. She becomes overwhelmed at how the pictures dredge up long-forgotten nightmares of her childhood and her failed marriage. In addition, her medical recovery fails to progress as she expected, and Milli begins to spiral out of control. She realizes that her cherished career as a bedside nurse may not be salvageable. The reader is left to wonder if Millie can find the inner strength to stop and call, "Overs!" A good read for those who enjoy delving into the realm of the human condition.
