About the author
Colleen Mook is the Founder and CEO of Baby Be Hip, an online retailer of personalized baby and toddler gifts. Colleen established Baby Be Hip outside Philadelphia in 2002 after a successful early career working for General Reinsurance in New York and Philadelphia. A graduate of Villanova University and Mount Saint Joseph Academy, Colleen lives in Horsham, Pennsylvania with her husband, Brad, and their four children. In addition to raising her family and managing her responsibilities as CEO of Baby Be Hip, Colleen takes an active role in her community, advising, speaking and mentoring young women and aspiring entrepreneurs. She also speaks on her experiences with the special needs of her daughter Ellie and educating others about differences, respect and tolerance. Colleen is a co-founder of Sunshine Hope, an enterprise focused on empowering children to overcome challenges and become happy, fulfilled adults. Colleen regularly appears in the media and on conference panels. She and her business have appeared on the TODAY Show and Good Morning America as well as many regional television features, and in American Baby Magazine, Baby Talk Magazine, People Magazine, Child Style, and Essence Magazine.
