Overview
In the bloody, war-torn world of prehistory, two young people escape from a tribal battle and use their survival skills to travel through a savage land, fighting against primitive, explosive forces of nature, and the brutality of humans who would destroy them. This is an adventure story with non-stop action, a short, quick read that will leave you breathless.
Description
Time: Pre-history, the latter part of the ice age. A young man is so mesmerized by the sight of a volcano erupting into the night sky that he fails to hear his enemies coming through the woods. He is grabbed from behind, a hood made of deer skin is thrown over his head, he is bound hand and foot and dragged away into the forest. He is taken to the dwelling place of the Ice People, a tribe that is not his own, where an old woman teaches him mysterious survival skills. He fights with them in a battle against another forest tribe and everyone from both camps is killed except for himself and a young woman his own age. They cannot remain in that place because soon packs of wild animals will come to devour the carnage of human bodies. They set out together in the hope of finding a place where they can survive and find peace, but the journey is long and filled with endless danger and countless enemies. At every turn they are challenged to fight or flee for their lives. The story is their adventure in a savage and unforgiving world where two young people must learn very quickly how to live and fight as one, to survive, or die.
