Our Words Have Power is an introduction for children to the power of speech. The art of communication is the basis for all social interaction, Our Words seeks to inspire our youth to use words as tools Not weapons.

Feelings, questions, encouragement, acknowledgement. These are all tools that lead to successful social engagement. Our Words Have Power promotes the ability to speak your feelings and thoughts, as well as recognize those of others, this lends itself to the creation of dynamic personalities. Although taboo, language usage has an irreplaceable position throughout the span of your social and economic life. So why not start early? Advantages arrive from understanding and repetition. If our children practice proper ways of communication, they unchain an unimaginable power.

Rashidi is a Navy Veteran, a husband, and a proud father to his Ejire (Nigerian, Yoruba, for Twins). He authors books dedicated to the daily lessons that he feels will allow all children to grow in comprehension and understanding. "Our Words Have Power" is his debut into writing. This book was a product of a phrase he says to his boys often when they are frustrated or cranky "Use Your Words". Hopefully, this contribution will inspire others to emphasize the power of being able to concisely communicate.
