Overview
This book chronicles my thoughts and the view of the world through my lenses. This book details our life after the events of April 30, 1975, the day Saigon fell. After this historic day, my life has been like anyone else's who have taken part in it —disturbed, caught in the whirlwind of written time, crushed under the wheels of history, and full of struggle. Ever since, I have tried to build myself a life of peace and happiness. I have tried to create a lifestyle of peace and happiness for my wife, my children, and myself. This is not intended to be a political book in any way. I may discuss elements of politics, but these elements of politics have shaped my life, and the love of my people both in the United States, and Vietnam, and all paths of history.

I dedicate this book to all the broken families, here in the US, and around the world, who have led arduous lives, and who have seen hard times. I dedicate this book to all the families on this or the other side of the front line in Vietnam. This book is for all of us. This book is for the people of the two regions and for the generations torn by war. Hopefully, one day, we will be able to embrace the truth more and more in the future. Today the war has ended. I hope, with this idea, that this idea will bring peace. And with this peace I hope that it will bring with it a wonderful peace of mind, unity, and understanding. I hope that with this peace, that it will bring a special love for the people of the two regions.
