About The Author


       Ivan Cox writes fiction and screenplays and practices medicine on Martha's Vineyard. His comic novel Cruise Ship Doctor, set in the Caribbean, is considered a classic of nautical humor. Ivan's second novel Blood Pudding, Confessions of an Immigrant Boy, Pittsburgh, 1920, depicts gritty immigrant family life in a Zinc smelting company town. He is shopping two award-winning screenplays. Death Dose, a contemporary medical thriller, is set on Martha's Vineyard. Mudpuppy and the Scout, takes place in 1936 in the deep South, is a tale of baseball and lynching.      Ivan lives with his wife Martha in Vineyard Haven.
