Hepsie Smith was born and raised in Compton, California. She is currently studying Health Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Arizona State University. She has been writing poetry since she was in the eighth grade, writing is a lifelong passion for her. Hepsie started to take her craft seriously and began writing her debut poetry book a year after her mother's passing. When she's not writing, she is doing school work or off traveling to her next adventure. Hepsie is the author of "One:Eleven," and currently resides in California.
