A Pleasant Surprise I opened this colorful book and found a delightful and rhythmic description of many of the fish and corals that I saw in my past diving experiences and that I tried to cultivate in the saltwater aquarium I had for many years in my home. Visitors would ask what the basic corals and fish were called, and it was a great opportunity to teach them some basics about aquatic life. Oceanimals does this also! This book is an excellent introduction to sea life for kids, but not too simple for adults to enjoy also. I found the colors and tidbits of information about some of the animals that live in and near the ocean informative, but not too intense. A perfect way to "get your feet wet" exploring a different and perhaps little known group of animals. I loved the color and easy to read descriptions in this book! Read more

Incredible! I was fortunate enough to get one of the first copies of this book. If you're a diver, or just an admirer of underwater life, this book is a must have. The photos are absolutely beautiful and some of the little factoids that go with the pictures are fascinating. Can't recommend it highly enough! I'm already thinking of fellow divers as a gift idea.
