Overview
As a Civil Engineering student at the University of Tennessee, Mike began his commercial diving career working as a contractor for the Tennessee Valley Authority. Upon graduation he moved to Morgan City, Louisiana and began work as a diver in the offshore oilfields of the Gulf of Mexico. The company he founded - World Wide Divers, Inc. - became the first of three companies to merge and form Oceaneering International, Inc. This memoir is Mike's account of his progression from a commercial diver to Chairman of the Board of what is now a company listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Mike has been a Director of Oceaneering from its inception and served as Chairman of the Board from 1969 to 1979 and again from 1984 to 1990.
Description
