This is a story about a wolf Spider named Nugget who finds his way to a cranberry bog. While there he meets several new friends including a frog, spotted turtle, bumblebee, and garter snake, who tell him about what a cranberry bog is, what their roles in helping the bog are, all while assisting him in finding his name. This book is educational and would be good for young children and families to read.

About The Author

Mary was born in New Hartford, NY and grew up on Cape Cod in a town called Sandwich MA. As a child she and her younger brother spent hours swimming at the beach and ice skating on ponds and cranberry bogs near their home. It was during this time spent outside that she developed a love of animals and a desire to teach others about the amazing world around her.  

Mary believes that it is important to share and learn about the importance of the world around us and when not working full time in mental health, she can be found working part time at the very place that inspired the book Nugget’s Bog. It’s through this space she can teach others about the wonderful landscape of Cape Cod and her Sandwich MA, home.

While she loves nature, she also enjoys traveling, drawing and watching sports like baseball and hockey with family and friends.
