Overview

The price of admission to a life well-lived comes with loss. Beth lost her mother at 18 and later her father during the height of COVID-19. She's navigated fertility frustrations and a failed adoption, motherhood, career changes, evolving friendships, aging, marriage and a series of never-ending identity crises. In her second book, Now What, Beth shares her attempt to navigate these ordinary and extraordinary losses with humility, humor and human connection. While there is no one-step guide for how to grieve, Beth hopes by sharing her journey she can inspire people to grieve with grace on their own terms. This book is for anyone who has experienced loss and wondered what comes next.

Description
Beth Probst is no stranger to loss. Then again, who is? Now what? draws from Beth's personal stories around ordinary and extraordinary loss. From losing her mom to addiction, father to chronic disease, failed adoption, evolving friendships, career challenges, marriage, motherhood, aging and the endless quest for perfection, Beth breaks down some of the common misconceptions around grieving what and who you love. The ultimate goal of this book isn't to provide answers on how to grieve right but rather provide space for people to grieve on their own timeline. To imagine a world where grief does not have a beginning, middle or end. That perhaps, we can hold joy and sorrow simultaneously and that doesn't make our grief wrong but rather us human. That in fact, we never get over losing what we love but rather learn to live with it. Candid, quirky and at times a bit raw, Now What is one woman's journey to navigating loss with humility, humor and human connection in hopes of giving others space to do the same.
