The only hope, Repros, androids with the capability of gestating human life. Never approved for use after 6 failed attempts which resulted in stillborn human children. Of the 26 models of Repros manufactured, all but 2 were decommissioned and disassembled. Two were awoken. They ran.

There's never been anything like Sarah before. Awoken into life in the middle of the night, she ran for her life. There are many androids in the world, but none that could gestate and deliver a human child. Sarah is one of two synthetics with this capability. Never legalized for use due to repeated stillbirths, Sarah lives her life quietly and peacefully in an abandoned San Francisco in the distant future. Sarah's life takes an unexpected turn when she decides to be the surrogate for a childless couple.

Jaime M Prater was born in 1976, in Chicago Illinois. Jaime's mother and father, swept away by the remnants of the 70s Jesus Movement wound up raising Jaime, his younger sister, and older brother in Jesus People USA, on Chicago's north side. Jaime began painting and creating at the age of 7, taken in by all things Jim Henson, his favorite all time film being The Dark Crystal. As the years passed, Jaime would eventually enroll at Columbia College Chicago's film and video program, where he would minor in documentary studies and creative writing. Jaime is on the heels of releasing his first feature length documentary entitle No Place To Call Home. Notes From A Bionic Womb is his first published piece.
