Some people go through life following familiar paths and common expectations. Others recognize that we control our own lives and have an appetite for it all. ‘Not All Who Wander Are Lost’ is my tale of adventure and discovery. I have learned that with a bit of confidence, curiosity, and hard work, you really can do anything your heart sets its sights on. From working with emotionally disturbed children, to owning a popular bar, to the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Olympics, to a career at Disney; it has all been part of my life. Going from one experience to another (with a few side adventures along the way) I have had a most unbelievable journey.

This is my story. My path has taken me to places and allowed me to do things I never imagined. Friends, locations, jobs, experiences. It's quite a life I have wandered through. This is some of what I remember.

What does it mean to be a Wanderer? In this captivating memoir, Dennis takes readers on a journey through his life, marked by adventure, spontaneity, and the joy of the unknown. While navigating unexpected career paths and embracing the unpredictability of life, Dennis shares the experiences that have shaped his.

With the spirit of an Adventurer and a measure of Peter Pan, Dennis the Menace and Bilbo Baggins, Dennis has spent a lifetime exploring new places, meeting fascinating people, and creating unforgettable memories for himself, and for millions of others.

Who could have imagined that a small-town boy would find himself in the middle of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Summer and the Winter Olympics, or the SuperBowl Halftime Show, or the first-ever parade extravaganza in London. While watching “Disney’s Wonderful World of Color” on television as a young boy, didn’t we all dream of someday being a part of all that Magic? Dreams do come true, and you never know where your life might take you.

Dennis reflects on a life as a Wanderer; not having settled down – not in a place, not with a person, not with a career. He celebrates the freedom of wandering and discovery, and encourages readers to embrace challenging work, be fearless, and follow their dreams.

Dennis’ journey reminds us that being lost isn’t about confusion or fear – it’s about discovery and wonder. It’s about asking, “Where shall I go now?”
