About the author
New to the Erotic Urban genre, Kimoko Z. Lee is offering a new approach to writing that is sure to raise a few eyebrows and ruffle a few feathers to say the least. A New Jersey native now residing in Texas, Kimoko has been writing fictional stories, poetry and even lyrics since she was a young girl. It had always been just a hobby. In 2007, Kimoko decided to turn her hobby into a career. She penned her first novel, Noni: The Story of a Nympho. While its a very well written novel, because of its content and coarse language publishers often demanded changes. Wanting to stand by her work, Kimoko refused. After hearing a few more, "It's a great story but it needs to be toned down" type responses, she decided to self-publish. But without sound marketing and promotion that plan fell short. Not moved, Kimoko continued to write; even contributing ghost written piece to a few blogs and websites, including Hollywood mover and shaker Paul Stewart's entertainment site Next-Thing.com
In Spring 2011, Paul Stewart remembered Kimoko's novel and reached out to invite her to be apart of his upcoming independent publishing imprint, Over The Edge Books, Inc. Paul understood Kimoko's vision and knows there's an audience of readers just waiting for her work. It's was a match made in heaven. Noni: The Story of a Nympho is the first book of the imprint and of series.
This mother of 2 is more than ready to take on Erotic Urban Literature as the "MAVERICK" (so named by her publisher) of the genre. What make a great writer is their manipulation of the English language! The story must have a flow that's easy to read and still be able to get the point across. Kimoko does just that! She has earned her title and is definitely an Urban Writer to keep your eyes on!
