Overview
The autobiography Pajama Lady is a frank and honest evaluation of a dysfunctional home. It reveals that the hurdles of life can be surmounted with patience, faith, and a sense of humor. I know that if I could make it alone in the wilderness so can you.
Description

This is an account of my life events.I was being devoured by adversity and held captive by an abusive relationship. The solution was to leave. The silence of the woods in Maine and my love of life lured me to a cabin where I could write in peace.  Eighteen years of survival made me stronger by its degradation. This book was written by kerosene lantern, by hand on legal pads. I decided to love the unloved, by helping in soup kitchens and I wrote to over fifty prisoners, mostly those on death row.I did not judge them. I simply loved them.I also clowned in various places because love and laughter are as necessary as food, water, and air. May this book inspire readers to never give up.

About the author
About the author I was born in Sanford, Maine and graduated from Sanford High School. I discovered that working in a shoe factory did not give me the satisfaction of doing volunteer work. Volunteering had its own rewards. I worked in soup kitchens, and was head cook on a reservation for elders and daycare.I worked with mentally disabled adults, the deaf, the homeless, ex-cons. I became an activist and visited death row prisoners. At one time I was writing to fifty death row prisoners. One of my greatest joys was welcoming home vets from Saudi, Arabia as a clown. A teacher wrote in my yearbook that I was one of the best writers in the class and that she looked forward to reading the my snappy little remarks. And a priest inspired me to make a total commitment. I pray I didn't disappoint them.

Compelling Book! My dear friend, Lisa Van Poyck, sent me Helen Pajama's book through BookBaby and I thought our lives were shitty! I can't believe that God would allow all these monsters to go unpunished but I know that, in the end, that is exactly what they all have coming to them. In find Helen's love for her fellow men and women admirable to the extent that she did without and continues to live without to this day. Praise to Helen Pajama for showing others what the love of God really is. Read more
