Description
NED SMILES, a book written in rhyming couplets with compelling and colorful illustrations is about a young boy who just couldn't stop smiling. As he travels around town, his smile affects everyone he meets. Our young hero, Ned, meets a variety of people, from his school friends to the local constabulary, and offers them a smile to start their day. No matter how they might have felt before, once they share a smile with Ned, their day is better and they're ready to share their own smiles with all they meet. Written for a young audience, NED SMILE, shares the importance of smiling and sharing in this sometimes difficult always confusing world.
About the author
Born in 1947, once a San Francisco hippie, living in the Haight at the height of its glory, with two MAs, one in Creative Writing and one in the History of Consciousness, but unwilling to finish my Ph.D thesis, I chose, instead, to be become a filmmaker, script writer and to live a semi-legitimate life in Los Angeles, California, USA. Happily married to my college sweetheart, who, too, is in the business of film, I’ve directed three feature films, many television shows and children’s programs. One children’s books, ABC For You and Me, three published short stories, the winner of the Rosebud Award For Creative Writing for the short story, “The Cowboy of My Heart,” and four published poems, in Response, Moon and other now gone and mourned poetry journals comprise the visible part of my literary life. I consider myself a very blessed and happy person.
