Wandering the Earth, looking for survivors, Nathan, known as "Ferroc" to the hostile alien race called the Rantir, comes to discover his existence isn't just an unfortunate circumstance thrust upon him. But in accepting his role as Earth’s only savior while confronting a threat that could annihilate what's left of humanity, the line between man and machine grows increasingly vague.
