My Hero Is An Angel is a simple tribute to a man that meant so much to so many but most importantly, to his young son Aubrey who had to say goodbye to him at the age of 2.

My Hero Is An Angel follows Aubrey on "Show & Tell Friday". On this particular Friday, he chose to take his dad's top hat to school and share with his classmates how amazing his father was and his new role/position in his life. It's a touching tale of a father and son relationship.

Emerlyn is a first generation American Liberian that loves life and the mother to two beautiful little souls, Charles Aubrey and Chad Caden. In January 2019 they lost their husband and father who is the inspiration for the story you are about to read. Though she wears many hats (career woman, serial entrepreneur, brand developer, philanthropist, artist, home cook, leader, etc.) her most important hat is the mom hat. She wears that hat with much pride and does not shy away from sharing her hilarious struggles as a single mom trying to hold it all together. Emerlyn hopes that this book will aid in making parents more comfortable with having the discussion of loss with their young children; tenderly and responsibly.
