About the author
Debbie Wilhelm Siraco is a retired special education teacher who taught preschool through 2nd grade for 35 years. She also has a degree in art education and has shown many of her paintings in galleries throughout her home state of Connecticut. Her latest paintings can be found on Etsy.com under "The Land and Sea Gallery." Once retired she decided to complete the illustrations and self publish this book she had begun over 20 years ago. This is her first picture book based loosely on her sons' fascination with caterpillars. She has returned to the school where she taught to try out the book on small groups of students and found the kindergarteners and first graders had connections both with the character and and the experience.
