When, on the day her fiancé proposes to her a beautiful young bride-to-be learns she has incurable cancer, her husband moves heaven and earth to save her. Devastated by his loss, the husband's search for his wife initially leads him on an inward journey where he discovers profound answers about life and beyond. During this period he defies materialistic logic and once again communicates with his bride. The husband learns that an afterlife not only exists, it is accessible. He obtains passage on the boat of Charon and crosses, there and back again, again and again, the rivers Styx and Acheron. Invisible guides, he discovers, are always both here and there, taking an interest in our well being while we live our lives on earth. They shepherd this husband on a journey of spiritual destiny, one that takes him to the opposite end of the world. The Philippines, where the husband learns he has historical roots, surpassing thousands of years of experiences. It is there he meets for the first time in this life a warm caring family, who also possess immense spiritual power, who have loved him over many lifetimes. They have much to teach him, about spirituality, about eternal love, and about true reality.
